'Negar' to vie in Istanbul fest

Iran film 'Negar'  has been set to be screened at the 37th edition of the Istanbul International Film Festival in Turkey.

Directed by Rambod Javan, the flick is to represent Iran at the Turkish film event, which is slated for April 6-17, 2018.

‘Negar’ tells the story of a girl whose economically-struggling father dies due to excessive pressure in life. Fishy circumstances surrounding the case lead a historian to review the last days of the man's life in order to understand the origin of his story.

Negar Javaherian, Mohammad Reza Foroutan, Mani Haqiqi, Ashkan Khatibi, Peyman Moadi, Afsaneh Baygan, Atila Pesyani, Alireza Shoja Nouri and Rambod Javan star in the popular movie.

Founded in 1982, the Istanbul International Film Festival is the first and oldest international film festival in Turkey, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts.
